Ori Potter is a Santa Cruz local and has been dancing since the age of four. Ori began creating choreography for her school's theater productions while attending high school at Mt. Madonna. Ori then attended UCLA where she graduated in 2006 with a BA in World Arts and Cultures with an emphasis in dance. While at UCLA, Ori began to study Hula with Keali'i Ceballos. Upon returning to Santa Cruz in 2006, Ori began dancing for the Hula School of Santa Cruz under the instruction of Leolani Lowry as well as teaching the keiki classes. Ori has been teaching hula and creative movement for children locally for several years and choreographs for school plays at Watsonville Charter School for the Arts and Mt. Madonna School. Ori loves hula above all other dance forms and enjoys sharing her knowledge of it with children.
